Charminar

The iconic Charminar is located in the heart of Hyderabad’s Old City. Built in 1591 by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah, this square monument stands 56 meters tall and symbolizes the rich history of the city. It features four grand minarets at each corner, each with four stories. A small mosque is located on the top floor, and the monument has 45 prayer spaces. In the evening, the illuminated structure becomes a beautiful sight for visitors.

Golconda Fort

Golconda Fort, located about 11 km from Hyderabad, is a magnificent historical fortress built by the Qutb Shahi kings. The fort is famous for its impressive architecture, massive walls reaching up to 18 feet, and a perimeter of nearly 11 km. It includes eight gateways and 87 bastions. Golconda is also known for its unique acoustic system, advanced water supply system, and historical attractions like the Rahban cannon and Ramdas prison.

Ramoji Film City

Ramoji Film City is one of the largest film studios in the world and a popular tourist destination near Hyderabad. Established in 1991, it spreads across more than 2500 acres and can accommodate around 50 film units at the same time. Recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records, it offers stunning sets, gardens, and entertainment zones, making it ideal for both filmmaking and tourism.

Hussain Sagar Lake

Hussain Sagar Lake connects the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and is known as one of the largest artificial lakes in Asia. Built in 1562 during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah, the lake is famous for the 16-meter tall statue of Lord Buddha located in the middle. Visitors can enjoy boating, ferry rides, water sports, and evening light shows, making it a major attraction in the city.

Birla Mandir

Birla Mandir is a beautiful temple located on the 280-foot-high hill of Naubath Pahad in Hyderabad. Built in 1976 by the Birla Foundation, the temple is constructed using nearly 2000 tonnes of white marble brought from Rajasthan. The architecture combines South Indian, Utkal, and Rajasthani styles, giving it a unique appearance. From the temple, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Hyderabad and Hussain Sagar Lake.
